WEB Water will hold its Annual Members Meeting on Friday, December 2, 2022, at the Dakota Event Center (DEC) in Aberdeen The meeting is open to all members.
Three director positions are up for election, two rural and one bulk. Nominating petitions and instructions can be obtained from the WEB Water Office at 38456 W Highway 12, Aberdeen, SD 57401, by phone (605) 229-4749 or by email at kdegroot@webwater.org. The deadline for filing petitions is 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
The bulk director representing District 9 includes towns and bulk members in Marshall, Day, Clark, Beadle, Spink, and Hand Counties, South Dakota. The incumbent director, Tim Van Hatten, is seeking re-election to a fourth term.
The rural director representing District 2 includes Edmunds, Faulk, and Hyde Counties in South Dakota. The incumbent director, Jeff Stocker, is seeking re-election to a second term.
The rural director representing District 5 includes Spin, Beadle, and Hand Counties, South Dakota. The incumbent director, Craig Oberle, is seeking re-election to a third term.
The WEB Water Board meets on the third Thursday of each month and provides direction and governance of the rural water system which covers 17 counties. WEB Water currently has over 8,300 rural members, including 112 town and bulk members.
