FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems (SDARWS) recently named David Vogel from the WEB Water Development Association, Inc.as one of their Rural Water System Operations Specialists of the Year.
Dave started with WEB Water in February 2008 as a Water Treatment Plant Operator. Prior to WEB, he was a WTP Operator for the City of Mobridge. Vogel has a Class Ill Water Treatment Certificate and has maintained that level by attending safety classes and other continuing education classes. Vogel is said to be one of those guys who gives 100% year after year and helps WEB reach its goals. His knowledge and work ethic are always essential with training new operators. The new operators look up to Vogel for his guidance and he is the type of guy that leads softly and does not even realize that he is leading.
"Dave is a very reliable senior operator at the plant. His views and experience are valued at the plant. Dave shows good judgment in his operations of the plant. I consider Dave to be an asset to the plant staff as a whole. He is willing to take on more duties and projects that are asked of him with no questions asked. Dave is also knowledgeable enough to make his own assessments of problems at hand and share them with others," said Clayton Larson, WEB Water Treatment Plant Manager.
The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems is a non-profit membership organization dedicated to enhancing South Dakota's water and wastewater industries by providing training and on-site technical assistance. As a member-driven organization, SDARWS is financially supported through its membership dues and grant programs. Membership is open to all organizations and individuals associated with our industries.
